The Smacchat Pre-Season Power Rankings

Injured A-Rod was not in the posted Yankee lineup for Tuesday night's game against the White Sox. A-Rod, batting .308 with four homers and 10 RBIs, strained his right quadriceps Sunday at Baltimore. Morgan Ensberg was listed as the starting third baseman against Chicago.

Hank Steinbrenner needs to put the silver spoon back in his mouth, shut the ‘F’ up, and let the new Yankee manager do his job. Right now they need to gain some footing or they will find themselves with in an almost insurmountable whole, and the season may be over before it begins.

Here are the Smacchat Pre-Season Power rankings let us know what you think here or in the team chat rooms.

NL WEST....NL Central...NL East
Dodgers....Brewers......Mets

AL West....AL Central...AL East
Mariners...Tigers.......Red Sox

BS... the Dodgers aren't going anywhere... they will sizzle and then fizzle as they always do.

The Mariners will finally have the awesome season we've expected of them all along. However, I agree with the other post... don't know about the Dodgers. Then again, in the weak a$$ West, they'll be a shoe-in.

This is big trouble for the Indians. With C.C. struggling he has helped fill the void, and with him out C.C. and the rest of the rotation have to step up and perform well. The bats also have to give help also. 3 or less runs in nine games this season. That's just bad.

ramsey- Ridiculous. Chipper Jones has been suffering from the same exact injury for the past 10 days or so and is still hitting over .450 with 6 HR and 19 RBI from both sides of the plate. What a panzy.

I just love it they are 20 games into the season and Hank is already calling out different players. This man shows no respect. Is he going to call out Jeter or A-Rod if they have a slump. The Yankees have devestated their farm system for years by trading away great pitching prospects and now if comes back to bite them. I love it. Maybe they should see if Roger would come back for 15 million or see if they could trade for Randy Johnson again.

the yanks dont need another young gun starter with an era of over 5 they need someone that can come in in late innings and hold a lead i mean look who they would have in the pen if joba becomes a starter

Yes the Chicago Cubs can beat the top National League teams. They proved it against the Mets. The offense is on a torrid place and thats without Alfonso Sariano. The starting pitching at this point is in the least solid, the middle relief is getting better, and the one two punch of Carlos Marmol and Kerry Wood, could be the best in the National League, if not in all of baseball.

yankeeman - yup, the Sox look very good and we'll still need to register around 95 wins I think when it's all said and done to qualify for the second season. I would submit, however, that if we do make it - it will probably be because the youth experiment worked out and they would be more ready to take the ball in the playoffs than they are today.
